Central Africa: Local Journalists call for media to contribute their part to MDG achievement

The 5th Regional Radio Programme took place in Brazzaville from the 14th to the 16th of April.

The workshop hosted by FES brought together various journalists from around the region in order to find a common strategy to further the development of Central Africa. After the assessing the pertinent Millenium Development goals, the journalists concluded with a declaration calling for the media to take responsibility for their role in achieving these goals. They stated that they would encourage their governments to engage more with communities and apply the priniciples of good governance.
