Angolan and Cuban news agencies sign cooperation accord

Angola News Agency (ANGOP) and the Latin-Informative Agency, Cuban S.A, Prensa Latina, signed in Luanda on 8 April 2010 a cooperation agreement in the dominion of news and professional upgrading.

The accord was signed by Angop's director-general, Manuel da Conceição, and while Prensa Latina was represented by its chairperson, Francisco González García. In terms of the protocol, signed as result of a visit made to Angop by the Prensa Latina's official, the two agencies will exchange information through immediate requests for assistance in terms of covering news events in both countries by means of meetings or telephone reports. The agreement stipulates also that Angop may ask the Prensa Latina head office the drafting of two monthly articles with a length not greater than 80 lines, on current international issues.

 

Both parties agreed to provide the necessary assistance and support to correspondents, staff special envoys from each of the agencies who travel to any of the countries.
