Somalia: TFG minister of information meets with heads of Somali media

MOGADISHU (Sh. M. Network) – TFG’s information minister Abdirahman Omar (Yarisow) has held press conference in the Somalia capital Mogadishu and talked more with heads of Somali media on Wednesday.

Mr. Abdirahman Omar (Yarisow) had promised for the journalists that his ministry would help the Somali journalists and give journalism trainings to develop the quality of the journalists.  

“Our aim is to develop our journalists, I am telling you, all of you to redouble your efforts so as to be experienced ones. We like to give you good trainings as soon as possible to upgrade you education for the journalism to reach success on media,” said Ing. Yarisow

The minister of the information had lastly called for the opposition groups to respect and give rights to the journalists adding that the correspondents would be those who stand for the country and work for the population,

It is the first time that newly elected minister of the transitional government of Somalia for the information affairs to meet with the journalists and promises trainings in abroad and inside the country.
