Namibia: NBC appoints new director general

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has finally appointed a Director General, after a year and a half of searching.

Albertus Aochamub, the former Head of Corporate Affairs at mobile operator Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC), took  up the position with effect from August 1st.
The announcement was made by the recently appointed Chairperson of the NBC Board, Sven Thieme. The Board deemed him the best candidate for the often volatile position, out of a list of 12 applicants. He becomes the ninth director general  of the NBC in 20 years.
