Angola: Journalism Prize Winners Announced Wednesday

Luanda — The winners of the 2010 edition of the Maboque Journalism Prize will be announced Wednesday in Luanda, during a ceremony involving a cultural activity.

The cultural part of the ceremony will involve the performance of musicians Irmãos Almeida, Carlos Burity, Kristo and Bruno M. The information was supplied to ANGOP by the press officer of the prize sponsoring company, "Grupo Cesar e Filho", Nelson Ventura.

Among the various categories, the source mentioned the National Languages, the Organ of the Year, the News Presenter of the Year, the Picture of the Year, the Camera Operator and Sound Engineer.

To Nelson Ventura, this edition has recorded a good participation of professionals from other provinces like Cabinda, Huambo, Kwanza Norte, Kwanza Sul and Benguela.

The jury of the prize comprises Alves Antonio (president), Francisco Mendes, Victor Silva, Ana Lemos and Tandala Francisco. Juseline Santos is the secretary and Nelson Ventura will appear as representative of the sponsoring company.
